In the USA, thousands upon thousands of puppies and kittens are born everyday because of the uncontrolled breeding of pets...adding the number of offsprings from stray and abandoned pets, and the total is staggering. Its estimated between six and eight million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters every year, and out of that total, 71% of the cats and 64% of the dogs are euthanize. (http://www.petpopulation.org/statsurvey.html)

Well, Why Aren't You Doing Anything About It?

There are countless cats and dogs euthanized at the animal shelters in the U.S.A. every year...many more stray and feral cats and dogs spend their whole life on the street searching for food, producing wild offspring, then dying from coyote attacks, diseases, starvation, and car accidents.

Some will choose to ignore this increasingly urgent problem, some can pretend that there is one less chicken killed since he or she has become a vegetarian. While most simply choose to look the other way.

However, most fellow human beings, animal lovers or not, cannot justify taking Innocent lives for a convenient solution to such a deadly problem to small animals, that we, humans, have single handily created over time as a by-product of our modern society.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution that will solve this problem immediately to stop the senseless killings of the animals in the shelters.

However hopeless the situation is for the animals, such a dire fact does not absolve us from our responsibilities.

Certainly, you can look the other way again, and deny the very knowledge such things....

Or, you can actually do something about it...

At Cats In Need, we are doing something while most people are doing absolutely nothing!

We are a local all-volunteers group that rescue, foster, and then find homes for kittens and cats on the streets.

We are proud to say, that every single kitten that we rescued, fostered and found a loving home for, is one precious life we saved from euthanization or other horrible end on the streets...

Believe it or not, one person, as in you, can save a life and make a difference if you choose to!
